Digital X-rays

All of our x-rays taken in the office are completely digital, and expose you to 90% less radiation than regular film x-rays.  Digital x-ray sensors act Just like a snap and shoot digital camera, your x-rays are available almost instantaneously.  With digital x-rays, we are able to catch early cavities, signs of dental nerve infection, cysts, etc.  Our Patient education TV monitors will show all of your x-rays so your Pingree Grove dentist will be able to discuss your oral health and educate you on recommended treatment options.

Intraoral Camera

With our intraoral camera, your Pingree Grove dentist will be able to obtain necessary images of questionable teeth and areas within your mouth and you will be able to see what we see.  All of our patients initially will go through a comprehensive and thorough examination that will involve taking necessary pictures of failing large restorations, cavities, abnormal tissue appearance and other areas of your mouth.  This will help your dentist monitor and maintain the overall health of your mouth.  It will also reduce the need for frequent x-rays.  Our philosophy at Pingree Smile Center is to avoid unnecessary radiation for all of our patients.

Laser Dentistry

One of the latest advances in dentistry is the soft tissue laser.  Soft Tissue Laser uses laser energy to perform a variety of soft tissue dental procedures.  Laser technology allows us to perform variety of soft tissue procedures with better precision, no use of scalpels or blades, causes less discomfort, decreased pain, less bleeding and faster healing times.  Numerous research studies have shown that laser dentistry can be far less traumatic than other instruments, especially for anxious patients. Some of the advantages of Laser Dentistry over conventional dental instruments are:
